Income of 34.69 a week and benifits?

My mum has recieved a letter to say we may be able to change her pension over to one that gives her an income of £1804 a year (£34.69 a week) ATM her and dad are on benefits as dad has terminal cancer ( life expectancy of 6 months) I wondered however if this would have any baring on the benefits they are entitled to if they are able to get it or if the amount is too small to have much of an impact? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

All means tested benefits will take other income into consideration.

    Your post is very confusing.

Does she already get a private pension, if so changing over to another pension provider cannot be done if she is already receiving it.

    Who sent her this letter.

Are they on any benefits now.
Lots more details are needed and we may be able to help with benefits too.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Yes they are already on benifits( council tax, dla, ssp, guaranteed pension credit(all dads who isn't expected to live more than 6months) ESA And carers allowance(although entitled not actually entitled to any money) no she isn't already receiving any of her private pension as she's only 58 and didn't know she could! Then the pension company sent her a forecast which said she could start it anytime with a lump sum payment too but that the amount she receives each month would be less if she takes lump sum than if she doesn't ( it's not a great deal less) trying to work out which way better for them, dad was a full time builder unitill may this yr and mum was made redundant at Xmas (she has copd hence the ESA)
