Money order in Euros??

Any advice greatly appreciated on this one.
We are planning a purchase were the seller is based in Ireland (we know and trust them) and he has requested payment of approx 1400 euros by way of money order in euros. I have absolutely no idea how to go about this -can my UK bank give me a bank order/draft in euros? -I know I can sent money electronically but would like to know if the money order option is something any-one is aware of and how we go about it. Thanks

your branch would be able to supply a foreign draft - usually at a cost of course - for my bank lloyds - if i made the payment online, it is cheaper than a foreign draft.
paying electronically would be better as it would be much quicker (usually within 24 hrs for europe) and no need to wait for clearance.0
