Hi
Ok to cut a long story short - we have been having issues exchanging contracts up until this afternoon. (rat problems at top of the chain and solicitor off sick at bottom of chain). So this afternoon, our solicitor all ready to exchange and then finds out that even though he had confirmation of the money request he sent to our mortgage company, they are saying they never received it. He is saying that they have said they couldnt release funds today but could do it tomorrow. So its hopefully and exchange and complete tomorrow. Anyone else had issues like this, was the money released in time.
My stress levels are an all time high at the moment.
Thanks

I used to be a legal secretary and in my experience doing the exchange and completion on the same day very, very rarely went wrong. In fact, I can still remember the couple that did because they were so unusual.
Hopefully you'll be the owner of your new home tomorrow and all the stress will have been worth it.0 -

Once i know that ill be chilled. i dont care what time i get the new keys as ill have 4 days to unpack and i only have a 5 minute drive to new house, thankfully its not 70 odd miles away0
