Hi
My partner is severely sight impaired. i am thinking of adding an extension to my house to put a bedroom downstairs as she finds stairs very difficult to manage
Would there be any VAT reductions on the materials/work carried out if the extension is built for this purpose?
Regards
john

why is she struggling with the stairs?
they are always in the same place and are/should be no more of an obstacle than a doorway.
i dont think VAT exemption would apply, even if you could persuede someone that a downstairs bedrrom was essential for someone with a visual impairment0
