DIY tips for repairing old front door?

Hi -we have an old hardwood front door with five panes of glass in semi circle up the top - think its was called Carolina.
I am no good at DIY but last year asked hubby to repair it as you can see daylight through two or three parts - one where the sections are coming apart and one were the bottom board is coming away (this was a repair dome a few years ago). This opens directly into our living room so needs sorting before winter.
Failing him doing anything (!) I was thinking of just using a tube of that wood filler stuff where I could - and also re-varnishing it inside and out. Also putting that foam strip round the door frame.
Any ideas on the best filler to use please?

Just mix the filler as per the instructions on the tin, and push it tight into the gaps. Don't worry about finishing perfectly, leaving it a few mm proud is ideal. When you sand it down it will be spot on.
The filler in the link is very good and the brand i've just used to repair external cills.
Good luckSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
