myspace has a lot of celebrity users with their own myspace -are they all genuine ? or is it net pranksters hijacking celeb names?

    Some are some aren't. Easiest way to tell is whether there is a link or mention of the myspace account on the celebrity's official website if they have one. I was quite proud of having Penn Jillette as one of my few myspace friends but he doesn't use myspace any more.

    Yes as said above some are and some arnt but the ones that are real mostly arnt updated by the actual celebrity themselves they will employ someone to design their myspace and website.

    It would have to be a relatively unknown celebrity or a very unusual one (eg Penn) who would set up and manage their own account and reply personally to messages etc.

    they sometimes have there own personal one for their real friends under some fake name and a public profile for fans
