Ok, been to supermarket and spent £28.38, so £8.38 over my budget but at least we still have £10 cash left in bank. Hopefully now that I am really keeping track on what is getting spent I'll be able to figure out where things can be cut but also hopefully reduce the spending at the same time.
Got our award notice from tax credits this am and it's going up from £38 to £49 a week, then from the end November up to £65 this is due to an overpayment from last year still being paid back. At least this gives some extra for clothes etc for children.
The only shopping between now and next Thursday will hopefully just be bread and milk and I hopefully have enough in my purse to cover this.Lloyds loan £7045.16/£0.00 Lloyds CC £896.99/£649.25, barclaycard £2792.20/£4582.93, OD £1500, Next £210.43/£734.21, OD £300, Virgin CC £3135/£1108.53, Starting total,£15829.78, running total, £8874.92 paid off to date, £2303/6811.76/6654.86

Been sitting pondering things and as of Monday I'm going to aim to sell one to two things a day on eBay, whether its single items or bundles of the LO's clothes that have been outgrown. So even if I can make an extra £1 a day that's still an extra £365 a year and anything more than this is a blessing.
I've also got loads of books but not sure of what to do with them, perhaps amazon trade in, has anyone done this?
Got cd and DVDs as well so perhaps music magpie for these. Every little helps after all and they are just clutter and dust gatherers after they've been watched.
I'm also going to start doing The 30 day shred and aim to do it every 2nd day to start off with as if I tried for every day I don't think I'd be able to walk after the first few days lol.Lloyds loan £7045.16/£0.00 Lloyds CC £896.99/£649.25, barclaycard £2792.20/£4582.93, OD £1500, Next £210.43/£734.21, OD £300, Virgin CC £3135/£1108.53, Starting total,£15829.78, running total, £8874.92 paid off to date, £2303/6811.76/6654.86

As your 4-month-old out-grows their clothes, these can be sold on ebay, ebid or Gumtree to recoup some of their cost.
Btw, welcome to diaryland.
Books can be sold on Amazon, Zapper, and a few other sites, but be aware that when selling on Amazon it is very easy to try under-cutting all the other sellers of a title & end-up selling at a loss (big books cost a lot in postage, so this needs to be factored-in to the price along with Amazon's seller fees).
Also, I have found books are a really slow seller as more people move to e-books.Never Knowingly Understood.

Thanks patman, it's a shame that books are not as popular now due to the e readers etc. I like nothing more than reading a proper book, so much so I'm considering selling my kindle. I've got the kindle app so can read e books from this and have found tha my kindle is virtually redundant.Lloyds loan £7045.16/£0.00 Lloyds CC £896.99/£649.25, barclaycard £2792.20/£4582.93, OD £1500, Next £210.43/£734.21, OD £300, Virgin CC £3135/£1108.53, Starting total,£15829.78, running total, £8874.92 paid off to date, £2303/6811.76/6654.86

One item listed on eBay this morning. Pleased with myself that I've done it and hope I stay motivated to list 1 if not 2 items per day. They are mostly all .99p starters but every little helps.
Hoping for a no spend day today as well.
Spoke to OH and he is totally on board with making extra payments to everything and getting out this hole ASAP. I know the debts depress him more so than me. I'm more upbeat about it as I can see the long term picture and goal of being debt free but all he can see is the sort of miserable existence he thinks we will have over the next 24 to 36 months, he reckons everyone that he works with has loads of spare cash each week but I pointed out to him that some stay at home and don't have much in the way of outgoings, some are older with children flown the nest etc but deep down I think the majority will be living with some financial constraints and not many will perhaps admit it, although maybe I'm wrong and all these people have no debt and have got plenty of disposable income. Who knows....Lloyds loan £7045.16/£0.00 Lloyds CC £896.99/£649.25, barclaycard £2792.20/£4582.93, OD £1500, Next £210.43/£734.21, OD £300, Virgin CC £3135/£1108.53, Starting total,£15829.78, running total, £8874.92 paid off to date, £2303/6811.76/6654.86

Managed a nsd yesterday. This morning I have paid off £70 from my Barclaycard, a grand old overpayment of £7 and paid £25 to next an overpayment of £6.
Don't think I'll manage a nsd today as the cat needs food, it's a fussy moggie and will only eat Felix or whiskas. 73p for one tin at the local shop or a 6 mile round trip to nearest supermarket wasting petrol we don't have. Sigh...

Thanks roxy, that's what I keep telling myself that every little bit helps.
This morning I have refrained from buying certain newly released beauty products that I love, before these have gone on my credit card but not today, I will live without and I'm not bothered that they are limited edition as I've hardly used the last ones I got yet.
Last night I Ended up having to make the trip to the dreaded supermarket as we needed bread, milk and other bits, but ended up spending £25.
Small steps though, Rome wasn't built in a day.
Menus plan for the week done for evening meals, now need to plan lunches and write a shopping list. Then big shop tomorrow.
My balance transfer to Virgin doesn't appear to have gone through so I've been in touch to ask why so we will see what they say.

Hi Missty,
don't know if you would have the cash available to do it but I'm pretty sure amazon sell tins of catfood by the crate. Would be high cost up front but almost certainly cheaper than your local shop and delivered straight to your door. That's how we get our sacks of pet food anyway. Also, do you have a reasonably large freezer? You could stock it with bread and milk to avoid those little mid week trips, just remember to take the milk out early as it takes a long while to defrost!Mortgage Outstanding Nov '16 £142,772.75Mortgage Additional OPs 2017 Target £4522.80/ Actual £865.00GC Feb 0/£2000
