nbamerchandise.co.uk WARNING!!

Heads up in case you are going to buy anything from this website - DON'T!!!

Ordered something on 30th June. Not received and cannot contact company by phone (one number disconnected the other a voicemail which is full). Do not answer emails. Have reported the matter to the company which took payment - Nochex. Poor response to date and keep saying I have to wait 7 days, 48 hours, the another 48 hours now have to wait until they 'agree' something with nba.

If you look on qype, others complaining about the company too. I have reported this to my credit card company and to the police as fraud. :(

For future reference never buy anything from a website with no contact address.

I suggest you try writing to Michael Viscione at the address given on the website's Domain Registration.

Thanks for this but I am now going to let the police and my bank do the chasing. For information, the site does have an address, allows you to create an account and you can check the status of your order. The trouble is that after 30 days, the order remains pending and you cannot contact the company.

Forgive me for butting in, but I have just looked and I cannot see a physical postal address mentioned anywhere on their website.
Maybe one has to log in, but if that's so, then it isn't good enough.

The suggestion made earlier by Coopdivi, not to deal with a company with no address, is a good one.

You latest point is also good:

Coopdivi and Wealdrom, you are correct, there is no address - my apologies. Not sure how I missed this as I am usually so careful. but I must have got it when I googled the company (after the event I am ashamed to say).

Have also googled Nochex who I paid through. Some grim reading here too: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews115027.html

I have tried the Facebook route but no joy. Will not be wasting the cost of a stamp as I have now referred the matter to the police and my bank.

I hope this warning will help others from being caught out!

Not sure what the police will do as its not a criminal matter.

I would also advise that a chargeback for non receipt of goods is also a possible fail.
Reason for this is the debit is to No-Chex. A payment processing company. As such they are not the providers of the goods and No-Chex would be well within their rights to reject any chargeback on the basis they have done as requested.
eg. Pay the retailer on your behalf.

The story following non receipt of goods from nbamerchandise.co.uk

    1. No contact from nba to date
    2. Nochex response is that I had to wait whilst they contacted nba
    3. Reported to auctionfraud.co.uk so that authorities were aware of issues
    4. 5th August, one week after completing paperwork, credit issued by my credit card company (Halifax)whilst they investigate with merchant

10 out of 10 to Halifax!!
