Curious CC payment question

If I transfer a balance between two credit cards and it happens to go through at the time my monthly statement is due to be paid, would the balance transfer be classed as a a payment or do I still need to register a payment in itself?
I've done both anyway but was just curious really.

Yes it would be classed as a repayment as long as it hit the account before the due date absolutely. If you've also made a payment then the account surely would now be in credit?Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

No, should still be some residual balance on there because I didn't clear it fully. Because I didn't know how it would work I BT'd most of it aside from a bit, paid that part in cash just to make sure I paid so should still be a tiny bit of interest for next month.0
