Tax credit question

Dear all
I am completely lost in the working out of tax credit entitlements and any help will be appreciate it
Upto July this year my salary was 60800 pa, however I lost my job couple of weeks ago. My wife is working and her annual income is 30000 plus child benefit. We have one child under age of ten.
Will I be entitled to any tax credits and if so what do I need to do , someone told me that as our income was high in last financial year I would not be entitled to anything and we are worried about how to cope especially as we have to go BR
Any arise is appreciate it

Tax credits are initially based on last year's income, but can be changed to a current year estimate after you claim.
However, unless one of your or your child has disabilities, with an income of 30,000 your income is still too high for child tax credit (cut off around 26,000 for 1 child, no disabilities and no childcare costs)
