need to vent, re tesco broadband accounts

I had to stop a direct debit for my Tesco broadband account (hence forth 'TBB'), as due out just before payday, and not enough to cover it.
(the bank and no overdraft saga, i shall save for another day..:-/
anyhoos, TBB were called a week in advance, and it was agreed i made a payment on payday, and reinstate the d/d - done, and done, or so i thought..
even though I got a confirmation email from TBB, for BOTH the online card payment, AND setting up the d/d again, it seems they since received the original cancel request from my bank, so stopped the d/d again?!
what is odd, is that the card payment I made is not showing up on my bank a/c (yet)..- THAT now taken from bank a/c!
