Burglar alarm, existing ADT in new house...Options?

Since ADT took over the security firm who originally installed my alarm system, the service price has, over the years, become ridiculous for the one yearly check. I am considering cancelling the contract but do not have a customer agreement with terms and conditions. There is nothing on their web site to help. What, if any is the notice that I need to give to cancel? We have had the system through them from at least 2006. Where can I get a copy of the terms and conditions or does anyone know how much notice is reqd....I did find 3 months mentioned on one discussion board?0

Sorry, if not obvious from my above post... the system is 'bell only' no monitoring or anything else. With one yearly service.0
