ppi with outstanding loan

hello all , I am due a ppi refund from Lloyds tsb from a loan I had a number of years back , I didn't pay the loan off and receive a ccj and heard nothing since so have never made any payment!!

Will I still get my ppi refund or will it get taken off the loan I never paid off years ago?

It's possible they could use any redress towards it, yes.

Yes they will probably set any redress off against any outstanding loan amount plus there is a very high possibilty that making the complaint will reactivate the debt.

Thanks , the loan was for £20,000 i split from my husband and couldnt repay it ! just very strange they have contacted me after so long to offer me a refund

also they actually sent me a letter with an offer of £2000 and whether i wanted it to be payed by cheque or into my bank! i havnt even asked for a ppi refund due to the unpaid debt
