Door heights

I am in the process of renovating my bedroom and landing(bathroom and other bedroom) and I've got the opportunity to adjust the door heights. Is it better to have all the door heights the same, or do people not care? Does it add character not adjusting the height? The wall is non supporting so I shouldn't have any issues adjusting the sizes. At the moment the door is short, so I can either make the other two doors short as well, currently they're sliding doors or increase them all to a standard height.

Really I want to know if you think it's worth the time and effort or better left alone.

I would prefer the heights being the same, but I don't want to remove all the character in the house.

In my Victorian terrace house, the doors get shorter from the front the back of the house - I've always wondered if it was to create a sense of perspective, or just the guys building the front of the house were taller than those at the back. I'm sure there's no hard and fast rules, and I certainly wouldn't go inventing work for the sake of it. When you say shorter, by how much? Inches? Feet?

I would have to measure them but I know they're under 6ft.

The builder smacked his head into the one downstairs, I will probably leave that one alone though. It's the only internal door downstairs, so it doesn't bother me.

I'm going to be doing stuff anyway, so it's probably only an extra days work on top of everything (fingers crossed).
