Parking eye - problem

Hello,
Back in June I went to Cornwall and parked the car in a private car park, I had paid for 3 hours but went over by half an hour.
I am not the registered owner of the car (my boyfriend is), I am just insured to drive the car. He was not with me on this trip.
Two parking charge notices were sent (29/6 & 8/7) to my boyfriends address, he doesn't check his post very often and so these two letters were only opened yesterday and then passed onto me.
So I have missed the discounted payment date, appeal date and final due date (27th July)
I have looked for a number to call them, but I can not find anything anywhere.
What should I do? As the letter is addressed to my boyfriend can we get around this by him saying he wasn't driving the car?

If he calls them is he obliged to tell them my name or can he just say he wasn't driving the car at the time and not tell them my name and then we just ignore the payment request.0

He's not obliged to tell them anything, but if they don't know the identity of the driver they will pursue him as the registered keeper.0

I have read in quite a few places today that I should just ignore it and they will leave me (us) alone eventually, do you advise this? I just think it's disgusting to charge £100 for an extra 30 minutes in a car park. There were so many free spaces around when i returned to the car so they certainly did not suffer from an loss of earnings.0

If you ignore it then they may give up eventually, but there is also a chance that they will take your boyfriend to court.
Given that he's outside the time limit for an appeal to POPLA I'd say his two options are to either keep ignoring (unless he gets a formal letter before claim), or to name you as the driver.
Giving up the identity of the driver makes PE's job a little easier, but it should also allow you to appeal to POPLA as the driver with a good chance of getting the charge cancelled.0 -

Wrong, you have read old advice and wasted your time randomly reading old stuff. The advice was here all the time. All you needed to do was read any current threads on page one or two. When you posted your thread, your bf was not even too late to challenge the second one as you were well within 28 days of receipt!
There are LOADS AND LOADS of threads you could read, explaining what your bf should do:

Technically your bf is now too late to appeal but IMHO your bf (not you!!) as he is the registered keeper, should either:
- send a challenge anyway to both but do not talk about 'what happened' nor name the driver. See any random threads on the first few pages for examples of such a challenge.
or
- boyfriend should simply write and name you (name and address) as driver on both occasions. Then the clock is re-started when you receive your 'Notice to Driver' about each one and you can read other threads to see what to do.
I recommend the latter approach, immediately, this weekend. DO NOT appeal yourself yet, as driver, stay schtummm. Let us know when YOU get your first letter (in your name, not boyfriend) and this time do some reading about how to win a POPLA appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
