Any Mod Podge Users??
After seeing the local school kids make comic book shoes I have decided to give it a go. Had a quick look online for ideas other than the shoes but think I am looking in the wrong places as cant find much. Can anyone point me in the right direction and also if anyone would share their makes to inspire a keen beginner. Ordered some mod podge from amazon and now patiently waiting for its arrival

Thank you
What kind of things do you do with it?0 -
I have used modge podge to up cycle a wooden phone stand and old boxes. Depending on what you are doing you can always use a pva glue which is cheaper but will do pretty much the same job ( but it does depend on the project) xV 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550

I tend to just use pva if sealing decoupage I generally thin it down slightly with water.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0

I use it for decoupage on my things, usually use it the same as PVA glue

You can use mod podge for most decoupage projects, try this:

Some ideas of what I've used it for:
Getting small circles of MDF from eBay, covering them with funky paper/sheet music and attaching a brooch back
Jazzing up a photo frame or pencil pot
Making a photo box for my boyfriend. I got a large black box from Paperchase and covered it pictures of cameras.
Also, just a tip - Mod Podge will often feel ever so slightly tacky to the touch, even when dry. It doesn't bother me but if you're making things like shoes give it a layer of paper varnish just to give it some extra protection.0 -

Great tip, thanks! I've been using mode podge and get really frustrated by the tackiness. Never heard of paper varnish so will look into it....any recommendations? Xx0 -
a couple of months ago i posted mod podge shoes my daughter and i had done, comic book ones
i dont have the photo on this lappy sadly, i will see if i can find the thread
i didnt like the mod podge
its over priced PVA IMO
watering down PVA slightly gives the same results
in fact the PVA gave better results as it didnt crack the same way the MP did
my daughter does a lot of decoupage and never used the rest of the MP0 -
i thought it was a couple of months ago
it was last year!
