    I already checked the weather and I'm not concerned about it. I've lived through several monsoons, tropical storms and one killer typhoon (Xangsane), so as long as I'm not at peril of death, I'll go.

    For Peru, Jun - Aug is apparently the optimal time to visit and the other places are reasonable year-round. :)
    Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one. :)

    5-6 weeks isn't long enough for all of those destinations, I'd cross off BA and Rio and do those another time. Send Trailfinders an e mail and see what they offer.
