want to pay off debts and improve credit score

hi there i hope this is in the correct location.
i currently have a high amount of debt through various debtors and have not been in position to pay these off after losing job. But now im in eployment again i want to improve score and pay off these debts. Some of the debts (large chunk) were in an iva which failed back in 2009. However this iva did not cancel till last year and only couple of these creditors have contacted me. I have paid off 2 which were still appearing on my credit score through credit expert and equifax. But not other creditors are appearing on there. Credit expert says i have good credit score but equifax says i have poor credit score. my phone bill appears on credit score and this is paid every month on time so that should be helping that one. But only these 2 creditors that i have recently paid off are appearing on the equifax credit score. So i have no idea on which creditors would be the best ones to pay off and what i can do to improve my credit score. Any advice

You can't improve your credit score as there's no such thing but what you can do is improve your credit worthiness by reducing your debts and keep payments up to date.
