Disneyland Paris

Has anyone been, and got any tips? I gather that its very expensive to stay AT Disneyland and that its potentially more advisable to stay in accommodation outside and travel in, or are there major drawbacks to this?

I feel like I had a sheltered upbringing, I'm still not really sure what Disneyland is! But everyone tells me its amazing and worth a visit just once. My OH and I both have time off at the end of Jan and I'd like to go somewhere (we've done Budapest, Barcelona, Salzburg and Turkey relatively recently). I'd quite like to go back to Budapest but I think OH could have his arm twisted with Disneyland ;)

I have a feeling Budapest could be the moneysaving option, but would love to hear from anyone who has been and has any tips, ie. how long to go for :)

We usually stay in caravans and drive to disney as it's generally by far the cheapest option if you have a family. But in January, all the holiday parks will be shut so you're looking at hotels/hostels.

The best thing about staying off site (apart from the price) is that you don't feel obliged to go to Disneyland every day and so can go and see Paris and the surrounding areas.
"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

    Hi,

I am leaving for France next friday so cant really risk buying physical tickets. I see ticketnet.fr are offering this:-

    http://www.ticketnet.fr/fr/manifestation/promotion-ete-week-end-1-jour-1-parc-billet/idmanif/286755

    * Can people confirm that google translate has got this right and this ticket would allow me into one park on a sunday (25th August).

    * When looking at booking options, it says "Choose session". If I select "WEEKEND DAY 1/1 PARK - FREE TOUR second Sunday, August 25, 2013" is that the correct ticket for that day, or is that the date of a second free visit? Very confusing!

    * Also, have other people used ticketnet.fr e-tickets for DLP before? Does everything work smoothly?

I literally have enough money left from my holiday fund for these tickets so cant make a mistake!

    Many thanks,

    Andy

yes, you have it right - you put in 25th August as your ticket date, thats your first vist (the 2nd visit, if you can use it, is for any date at least 7 days after the 25th August, but before the end of September, when the promotion expires). You have access to one park only on 25th August with this ticket.

ticketnet.fr are a legitimate site, and you'll be printing off your eticket, so I'm sure it will be fine :).
