Well Done to PonPumpsDirect and Oase

Our pond pump failed and we found that there was just a week to go on the free 5 year warranty. We phoned and were told to send it back which cost us £20 by parcel Force. It arrived 2 days before the warranty ran out and I wondered whether there would be some 'get-out' response. Although I had to chase a bit as they seemed to have lost track, I received a new premium pump back.
The only downside to this 5 year warranty business is that as soon as the old pump failed I had to buy a replacement so all my koi et al would not die - heat and lack of oxygen. The Oase I bought was on special at £250 and in the end we only had about 5 fish die. However I now have the new pump they sent (worth £400 on special at local swallow aquatics) sitting here in its box.
So do I keep it somewhere safe for 5+ years or sell it?
