Stalling after new cambelt

Options
Ford fusion needed new clutch master cylinder so whilst in garage had new cambelt fitted. Now after accelerating hard if you take foot off accelerator to brake the car stalls.

Back to garage, put on electronic tester, nothing wrong. Garage have suggested leaving for the time being to see what happens. They have suggested that investigating could cost a lot,

question -

Any suggestions as to what it might be, cost to put right.

Should the garage repair free as this problem was not present when car went in.

Cam position sensor disconnected or damaged during the change would be the most likely, given the circumstances.

friend just had a cambelt put on a ford focus mk3, it was showing a sensor problem before the change, guy that changed the belt said the belt was out by one tooth on one of the cams and had been recently changed, that had the same problems as you have, when the belt was changed the problem went away, the engine management light was on too.
