HSBC online banking problems

I'm  at HSBC, they've now left us in deep doo doo. I tried to get onto my online banking to transfer my CTC from HSBC to my Lloyds a/c, been doing this for a few weeks now with no problems.

First attempt, the page where you put in memorable information was slow to load, but after putting the details in, the next page that came up said system error with code 85 and to try later, clicked on the clickable button on the screen and it took me back to where you put in your IB number. I put my IB number in and next page that comes up asked for memorable information (as usual) but the box where you put the code from secure key wasn't there. Instead there was information underneath which said next page would ask for secure key replacement code (not received). At this point, I thought ok the log in process is now over 3 pages instead of 2. I put in memorable information and clicked continue, page comes up asking for me to get the code using secure key which I did. Next page that comes up says this:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, you@your.address and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Thanks HSBC for leaving me in situation where we cannot buy food, nappies or pay a couple of bills.

I will be ringing Tax Credits later to get my CTC paid into my Lloyds a/c. Reason for not doing it sooner is that I wanted to make sure that the problems detailed in https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4673519 had been sorted out which they are now although I did have a problem when I tried to set up 2 new payee's one after the other but I think it may have been a technical glitch at their end.

I logged in about 10.30 am with no problems. Occasionally it can be a little slow. Are you registered for Telephone Banking?

Try using another browser such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome etc.
You may question anything I say. Just be polite, otherwise you go straight on to my Ignore List, which funds a good old fashioned knees-up every Xmas. Cheers;)

This morning my HSBC wouldn't load in Chrome before timing out but in IE it worked fine. As above, try another browser.

I logged on a little while back using Chrome and it was fine.

Try another browser, but also clear all your cookies and temp internet files and try logging on again.

May I suggest an emergency fund of a little cash at home? So that would cover food & nappies as you've indicated this error will leave you in a bad situation.

    .

    That's being a bit harsh.

There are things such as ATM'S and branches to get cash. Or pop into a shop and get cashback.

All these thunder storms are causing issues with the internet. Could even be a issue with your PC.

When the debit card bit stopped working, I put the card away but forgot where I'd put it. My husband has found it so we can get cash out of ATM but still need to transfer money to Lloyds a/c due to debit part not working. When I can get on laptop, I'll try clearing cookies & temp files. I've been transferring Tax Credits online using Google Chrome with no problems since May so don't think it's that.
