My OH is in receipt of DLA HRM & HRC. I have never claimed carer's allowance though have been advised to do so by DWP themselves. Would my application for Carers allowance be considered a "Change in Circumstances" for my husbands DLA.
I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

No, as long as you satisfy the CA rules.

Thank you Schrodie.
I have no doubt I meet the criteria but do not wish to start the ball rolling for his DLA to be overhauled. It is a sad state of affairs when you feel the need to deny yourself your entitlements because if the traumatic processes used. He is in the support group of ESA and that has been soul destroying in itself. I do not wish him to now have to go through a similar experience so soon. Though he received a lifetime award, since the intro of pip he will be due for review after 2015.I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!
