For about 4 or 5 months now I have tried downloading windows updates KB26276562 and KB2813170. Every day they download successfully and then come up again the following day as requiring dowloading again. We have tried all the miscrosoft fix tools. It comes up as failed. Someone mentions the only way to solve is to download the whole windows package again. This seems a bit excessive. So far Miscrosoft dont seem willing to help. It is a real pain has anyone got a solution please.I do not know if it makes any differences but our broadband supplier is Virgin Media.

I had the same with some net framework updates. I changed (from memory) to custom install. Deselect the failing downloads and you will be advised they will not be installed and no attempt will be made to install them in the future.0

Try to download & install the second (KB2813170) from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=38277
Ensure you save it to your hard drive first, then close all running programs before running.
Re-check the KB number for the first.0 -
We are having exactly the same problems over the last few months .In addition we cannot download internet explorer windows updates on Windows 7. We have tried the above suggestions and gone onto the Miscrosoft website and tried all their fixit suggestions. Still no luck. Where do we go next. Surely we do not have to reinstall windows to correct.!!. I notice on other forums (including Miscrosof Community)that this issue has been raised so it seems it is a more common problem. HELP0

download the updates. but do not install them. then disconect from the internet by removing your lead from telephone socket. turn of antivirus, maleware and spyware protection. now install the updates. when installing downloads have finished, restart computer, turn protection back on, plug cable back in.
