best way to save £50k

My mum has been given £50,000 through a family members will and she doesn't know what to do with it. Just wondering what people on here would say is the best way to invest £50k? I think shes wanting to make it a low risk investment. Cheers.

There is no real ' best way' as there are always risks. Going for a low risk will limit potential returns - also depends on your time horizon.
You may want to consider investing it in some funds, rather than single shares.0 -
There's not enough information in the original post to give any useful advice. Can the money be locked away for at least five years, or possibly more? If not, you'd be looking at savings rather than investments with the currently poor rates that go along with them.
