can't think of anything else apart from the child benefits0

Me either really.
Any reason why you cant look for a job....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Entitlement to other benefits will depend on your partner's income, any other income and household savings.
The possible benefits relevant to your situation are:
Housing Benefit (Local Housing Allowance - if you rent privately)
Council Tax Benefit
Working Tax Credits
Child Tax Credits
Child benefit0 -
How much does your partner earn ?0

perhaps you could get an evening or weekend job or get family or friends to help with child care. Or go self employed and take in ironing, that can be done when the baby is sleeping etc..0 -

Or the obvouis one child minder or nureries.
Anyway, my partner is on a 15k wage and I worked out tax credits would pay me about £500 if I didnt return but I am not sure if I based that on two kids or not as I am pregnat with my 2nd....
I probally will be returning but was weighting up my options as I hate my job and will be job seeking when baby is 6months.
Think you'd be looking at £500 MAX though for being a stay at home mum, it might be alot lower then that if I did it on two kids which I most likey did.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

for a lot of people the cost of child care would make it too expensive to go back to work, I was just suggesting options that wouldn't cost anything and could be very flexible.0
