I sometimes do the tasks on sites such as Neobux and for these you sometimes need to 'capture a url'. But since downloading IE 9 I can longer do it, the words cut, copy and paste remain grey after I have highlighted the url. I've tried doing the shortcut ctrl+c but that just increases the size of the print on my screen and makes it difficult for me then to complete the task. I can highlight and copy on a page but not in the address bar.

If I have explained it clearly enough does anyone have any ideas what is wrong, my o.s. is Vista.

Thank you

Have you run Windows update recently? You need at least Service Pack 2 for Vista to be properly compatible with IE9 ...

Thanks for the reply Oblivion, I do run Windows update and I've just checked and there are no updates available for me at the moment.
  • Hi,

eh, when using Ctrl+c to copy, you don't actually use the +, only Ctrl and c, and Ctrl and v to paste.

Ctrl + and Ctrl -, increase/ decreases print size.

How are you highlighting the URL? I haven't used Vista for ages so memory is a bit vague, but if it's anything like Win 7, if you right click the URL you should get a menu with the option to copy.

That's interesting I have been doing it wrong, I'll give that a try next time.

Splendid, I do like a happy ending :j

Use that to copy the URL and then when you want to paste it in another application ... Ctrl V
