Window Alarms

I'm looking into some cheap ways to secure my home and I have came across window alarms, approximately £6 each from maplin.
I have noticed they have 2 types, one where the alarm is activated when a window is opened, and one that picks up vibration if anyone is tampering with your windows.
Personally, I think the one that picks up the vibration would be more useful as it would stop a burglar BEFORE the window is opened.
Any advice if these are worth it, also is there any certain ones I should be going for/avoiding?
Thanks.

Some of the cheaper vibration alarms are prone to false triggering for instance when the wind is blowing strongly or if a large vehicle goes past.
Check if there is a sensitivity setting.
I'm not sure how much of a deterrent just window alarms alone will be? They aren't too difficult to disable.
Do you have externally beaded window frames?
Have you upgraded the locks on your external doors? If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0
