Wrinkled gloss paint

I need a little expertise - this weekend i painted our front door (same colour as prev) - sanded it, sugar soaped it and left it to dry, then painted it, not thickly and long even brush strokes. However, it's now dries with wrinkles in some places - prob because of the temp yesterday? What are my options? If I wait until the weekend, re-sand the affected areas (by hand) and then add the second coat of gloss, will this resolve the issue?

Did you use the appropriate undercoat? There can be problems with oil based gloss on acrylic based undercoat.0

Since it was the same colour going onto the same colour, I was advised that an undercoat wasn't necessary, just a sand down and a clean with sugar soap.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

who ever advised you was wrong, i always u/c all gloss, even when customers who supply the paint themselves and have got the no undercoat required gloss. i've never had a problem with acrylic u/c.
what i would do is give it a couple of weeks to fully harden then get a sander on it and try and sand it back to a sound surface, then give it a good wash down and then u/c and gloss,0 -
Thanks nickj - when you say sander, I assume you mean I can do this by hand as I don't have an electric sander ?
What about using this and taking it right back to the wood? I know there's at least two, if not three other layers under this one.

hi kerry, it's only 5£ for a tub so it might pay to grt some and do a test patch, if it does the job ok then go for it ,it will be messy,
the problem with gloss is that although it can be dry to touch, it can take time for it to harden so that it can be sanded smooth0 -
Thanks will give it some time to harden and then see what's what.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

try a 120 grade sand paper first and see how that copes, if you use anything too course it can tear the paint which is bad news, also go lightly to start with0
