holiday abroad beginning of October.

we have time off at the beginning October and haven't been abroad for a long while and at this time of year. we want to go somewhere hot and sunny on a small budget. where would be good places to go?

I would say the canary islands and turkey [particularly the Antalya area] would both be good option in October. Spain and the rest of the western med are cooling down then. Egypt would be hot too but Im not sure how popular it is at the moment. It will depend how much you have to spend and what type of accommodation you want but if you stay away from the October 1/2 term you should be able to find something.

Cyprus is another option. Northern Cyprus uses the Turkish Lira so prices are keen. Southern Cyprus is in the Eurozone but deals can be had.

I would definitely recommend Turkey at that time of year. It's at the end of the season, it's quieter, things are cheaper, the weather is not crazy hot, just normal hot (lol) and is absolutely beautiful.

We're off to Hisaronu this year at the end of September for 2 weeks with Jet2, really reasonable.

Tenerife and the other Canaries are a good shout too, been to Tenerife in November and the weather was still gorgeous. Had to remember my hoody and uggs for the return to Glasgow airport though brrrr!!!
