Blue Dolphin Filey

Hi.
We are due to go to Blue Dolphin in 2 weeks and we booked a private caravan rather than through Haven thinking we would save money.

However though we knew we,d need Fun passes we thought these were only to get in the evening entertainment and we may be only there for a night or two if we go out and about and the children love the park so thought we may get away with it.

But we have just found out that you need these passes for the day time entertainment and swimming to--plus you need to buy passes for the added activitys there--crazy golf. lasers etc--so all in all its going to cost a extra £200,

Does anyone know if there is anything on the park you don,t need the pass for?

You will needs passes for anything inside, pool , club etc, Haven usually have security on the door, unless its a quiet site it may be evening only, but you will still need passes for the pool, i presume there is a playground outside, how many kids and adults going as £200 seems expensive to me

Are you sure you aren't pricing up 'Activity Passes' instead of 'Funworks passes'?

Have you checked the price of booking a basic camping pitch? Do you still get the FunWorks passes thrown in? It may be cheaper than buying them seperately.

    Hi,
Fun passes are £26 adult and £13 children and Activity passes are £72 for a 12 pack pass.

There is 2 adults and 3 children so we reckon we,ll need maybe two activity passes, so working out a bit expensive where as we thought we,d saved booking a private caravan--never mind you live and learn as they say,

The activity passes are an added extra that you would chose to pay, or not pay for, if you booked directly. I don't think it's fair to say you haven't saved on those by booking privately, as they wouldn't be included directly.

Personally, I'd just get the FunWorks passes and see what's on the itinery before paying for the extra activities.

  • Fun passes are included in the price if you book directly.

I,ve spoke to someone who works there and they said just have a walk round and see what the kids will really want to go on then book the Activity passes accordingly as the spaces go fairly quickly.
  • You will need fun passes if you want to go swimming, all entertainment is in the complex, the mash and barrel (pub/food) Burger King etc.
I have been to this park and I always get passes as we love the entertainment in the evenings
Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!
