Faulty Charging lead

We purchased a Samsung Tablet from Carphone Warehouse in Nov last year. The lead no longer works. Carphone Warehouse are adament that this is an accessory and theat we have to send it off to Samsung. It may well be an accessory but was purchased all together in 1 box.

Is this correct?

Technically CW should be dealing with this for you but it's less hassle for you to do it yourself. Just give Samsung a call and they will arrange the repair, Anovo UK do most of their phone and tablet repairs in the UK and they have quite a quick turnaround.

It may be worth taking it to CW and getting them to test the charger on a demo tablet and trying the demo charger on yours, if it is just the cable they should be able to make a booking for you saying they've tested it and give you an address to send just the charger to, they ship out a new charger as soon as they get and test your old one. This is no good if the fault is with the tablet itself though and the whole thing would have to go off then.

Samsung want us to post it, then test. It's definitely the lead. His sister has the same tablet and the lead charges the tablet OK.

That seems perfectly reasonable, it is very easy to damage charging leads so they have to test it first to make sure it is faulty and not down to misuse.

leads are about £1 on ebay, probably easier getting one off there as a backup while sending the other to samsung, or dont bother sending it back
