Attaching new handrail to wall

When removing old handrail it was attached to the wall with huge screws fixed into chunks of wood which was embedded in the wall, so I take it there was no studs behind the walls.
Removed everything which left huge holes in wall, got walls replastered and now want to re attach handrail on the other side of the wall.
What with and how???

take it you have internal plaster board wall use these,
you need electric drill, drill slow and steady,
put hollow wall anchor in, tap in with hammer, spikes go in to wall,
unscrew bolt about a finger width so the gun fits over it and squeeze the trigger until its tight then squeeze again to make sure.
unscrew bolt fit rail screw bolt back in tighten with philips driver (cross head)
wall anchor for each fitting hole on rail,
setting gun tool, shop can show you how to use it very easy.
drill bit shop will tell you what size to buy it will be on the packet. you may need a pack of washers to stop bolt head going through fitting hole on hand rail (huge screws??), take handrail fitting to shop if not to big to check. http://www.screwfix.com/c/screws-nails-fixings/hollow-wall-anchors/cat8401080 -
