Leaky garden shed

My second garden-related post today....thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light....

Last summer I bought a used plastic garden shed.... it's a Keter. The seller said they bought it from Homebase originally. Anyway, when I first put it up, I noticed some gaps where the roof meets the side walls and the corner pieces were missing screws. I patched it together with some glue and copious roof sealant. It also didn't come with a lip to go over the door, as indicated in the manual.

Over the coming few months it seemed to do it's job and was very useful for all my car tools and spare bike. But last month I went in there and noticed mould on a fabric case for some tools, pool of water in the top rack of a tool box that turned some nails into rust-water and the bike chain rusted quite heavily.

I did know of plastic sheds suffering form condensation problems, but the pool of water in the tool box means there's a leak somewhere. I guess more roof sealant is needed, but do I remove the old layers first or just go over the top?

Any other advice from owners of plastic sheds?
