I just headed straight to the interview then to Triage. Anyway that doesn't matter now, i asked if anyone is receiving reduced rate JSA and how it's paid??
All I was suggesting is that you should make fulfilling JSA a number one priority. In other words, that means work-related activities should be the focus of your day. If you have anything else to do that you think to be an obligation, think again. Not fulfilling the agreement will result in a sanction and rightfully so.
So even if you can't notify the other non-essential appointment of your schedule, be sure to arrive at your JCP appointments on time first.
It's for your own good, they only want to help you find work.0 -
I'm afraid you got sanctioned because you didnt tell the Job Centre/ Triage of your impending interview. It states MANY times on every leaflet that you must attend or tell them in due time if you have good reason not to attend. Now call me fruity but I am certain that the NHS hardly ever go via agency, and interviews are never rang that close call (9am that very morning? Come on). I think you perhaps knew of the interview days before and telling the JC skipped your mind. So in effect, like Anon and others have said, YOU ARE at fault regardless.
Just learn from your silly mistake and move on. It will happen. And yes, you are on the dole so you are tied with the rest of the claimers. You arent a special snowflake of the bunch. Get with it young man0 -

Anonymous3 is attempting sarcasm or trolling here, so ignore. Anyone who has read any of Anon's previous threads will know this.0 -
that is a very strange interview in the nhs you always get at least a weeks notice.0

MHO is that, interview regardless, you should have picked up the phone and let the Jobcentre know you would not be there. After all, if you had an appointment to meet a friend you'd have done that. It's called common politeness.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Having said that in one sense they are right. Bizarre as it sounds you have to prioritise appointments with the job centre above even job seeking. Part of the job centre staffs job these days is to reduce the benefits bill by getting people sanctioned. Don't make it easy for them.
I would do three things.
1. Gather lots of evidence of what you have been doing to get a job
2. Write to / go and see your MP
3. Seek independent advice from Citizens Advice - ring up and see if you can get an appointment.
This is a good post especially the going to see the MP part as they need to gather all the information they can get on these firms that are paid from the public purse, to help people find work. Some of these work providers don't seem to be doing a very good job and the government need to be getting value for (the taxpayers) money.
It's not the first post we have seen like this and the government figures on these firms, don't paint a pictrure of success either. I'm all for creating jobs but throwing taxpayers money away, is reckless.
I also can't help but wonder how many of these work provider staff are welfare claimants themselves? We see many post on here from claiments of the welfare payement Tax Credits, who (for some strange reason) delude themselves that they are somehow superior to other welfare claimants and I wonder if this the problem too at some of these work providers?. Still, Universal Credit will stop those delusions.:D
Plus, how on earth are those people who haven't got the motivation to get off income based welfare payments (Tax Credits) themselves, ever going to have the motivation to help other income based claimants (JSA) get off welfare!? Fox, chickens.
OP. perhaps ask the "work provider" (oh the irony of that name) for their managers email address, so you can shoot off an email if this happens again and then you have it writing that you have told them?RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

It's amazing how common it is for people here claiming benefits to declare they are not dole scum like the rest of 'them', but are special, little snowflakes.
But you haven't been successful as you are receiving only hardship payments, your next sanction will now be even longer.
I think I'll bookmark this post of yours and repost back to you at every appropriate future post you make:D
Oh and everyone who asks for any type of welfare payments, is asking for handouts/hardship payments: even those who would like extra "hardship payments" given to them for life, for spare bedrooms in a social house.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

which stone did you crawl out from? :rotfl:0 -
I'm still shocked at the number of biggots that inhabit this forum, with manners and values no different from the people they imagine every welfare claimant to be.It's amazing how common it is for people here claiming benefits to declare they are not dole scum like the rest of 'them', but are special, little snowflakes.
