Is it risky to have bank accounts etc delivered at a shared house?

Hello everyone,
I've recently taken a job down south, after living with my girlfriend for the past 10 years. We're both living in house shares to save money, until my GF finds a job down south in the next 4-6 months, at which point we'll get a flat together.
In the meantime, I've got our mail redirected to my parent's house, however would like my post to be delivered to where I'm actually living in the longer term.
How risky is it to have bank statements etc being delivered to a shared house (from an identity theft / fraud perspective), and if one of my fellow housemates has a dodgy credit rating, is this likely to impact on mine?
Thanks,

Housemates dodgy rating definitely won't affect you, as you don't have a joint product like an account and so will not be financially linked.
In regards to whether your post should come there, it's tricky, I can see why the paranoid thoughts about identity theft etc. can you not go paperless statements?
I think you ought to get some post at your address for proof of address purposes and may look more stable to future lenders etc.
also perhaps think about getting on electoral role there, especially if going to be there as long as 6 months.
Overall I'd like to think that it wouldn't be dodgy to have your post there as hopefully you have very trust worthy housemates, however you could be extra vigilant to make sure that everything arrives when u expect it to so you pick up on any potentially missing post.0 -

Only you know whether or not you trsut your housemates.
When I was at Uni, I used to live in a massive hall of residence (about 1000 students) and I had all my mail delivered there during term times. The mail was just left in open pigeon boxes that I (or anyone else with access to the halls) could collect.
We never interfered with anyone else's mail.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
However, if you don't trust a housemate, you can see your transactions online
Items such as cheque books, replacement bank cards, etc can be arranged to be collected in person from a local branch.0
