How to get rid of black fly on my courgettes?

Hi all, quite new to this and have never grown courgettes before, so aplogies if its a silly question.
But my courgette plants are covered in what looks like black fly over the leaves and the flowers, can I spray it with a normal insect spray thing (sorry minds gone blank and cant rem proper name) or not cos its edible?

You can, but do read the instructions as some do say not to be used on cucurbits [which include courgettes / marrow family]

I assume this is because of high water content and possible take up & retention

Are you sure it is black fly and not perhaps flea beetles?

I ask as cougettes IME are fairly pest free except for slugs

You could also try soapy water but I'm not sure of its effectiveness
