Query regarding booking exec lounge..

I am looking at booking the exec lounge at Newcastle Airport. Never bothered before, but someone I know books a place every time they go on holiday.
My flight is 2.15pm, so going by that, I would arrive at the lounge 11am.
The person I know suggested putting my flight down as 1pm, thus arriving at the lounge at 10am.
Is it ok to do that, or should I just put the true time of my flight?

Why would you want to be there at 10am? It's a room with a few snacks and bottles of booze, definitely not worth arriving early for.
Your flight time does not matter, you are allowed three hours in the lounge. They don't always enforce it, only when busy, but there is no point in getting there at 10am.0 -
I've been in two types of lounge. A BA lounge which was great and a rather crowded private affair with a few curly sandwiches and canned drinks (which I stashed in my bag as it was a Thomson flight and I'm too tight to pay for food and drink on board).
With a typical fee of £17 a person your getting a few butties, some drinks and wi-fi. It may be preferable to loitering in departures for a couple of hours, but I'm not totally sold on the idea that it's either good value or a place to aspire to spending three hours of my life.
If you're checking in baggage you may not even be able to get three hours in the lounge. And remember security queues can be bad at times.0 -
I was only booking it because someone else is paying lol.0

My recollection from when I used to use airport lounges is that you have to put your flight number on the booking. But I agree with the others - it is worth checking reviews because some airport lounges are not worth bothering with - especially if they allow children in (apologies to anyone who flies with children!)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

We used the Cheviot lounge at Newcastle airport a couple of years ago,it was about £16.00 each but worth it.
No football tops/baseball caps etc. you had to be dressed in long trousers( the men that is)etc.
No children allowed
you were only allowed 2 hours but we went early and agreed to leave early as you have to proceed thru security etc.anyway.
The food consisted of snacks (cheese & buscuits, crisps etc.)
The drinks available were:- Beer (bottled)
Wine (red,white and rose)
Spirits and mixers
Tea,coffee,water etc.
The lounge itself was air-conditioned with comftable leather seats,Newspapers, magazines etc were available, It was very peacefull and i suppose if a number of flights were going out about the same time at least you will get a seat.
The drinks were serve yourself but there was no body drunk or even noisy so all in all worth the money if you normally have a few drinks before your holidays.

Thanks ganga..that is the same lounge I was looking at booking.
Would be booking online, so it asks for what time your flight is, then from that it tells you when you can arrive at the lounge for. So, is just better to put the exact time of the flight or make it an hour earlier?0
