Sorry I know I have no reason to be unhappy ith ur action especially as I just read this post and didnt advice u before. Had a similar experience 2 weeks back cudnt afford neg fb as i had only 10 positive(new ebayer, 100% until then).
But this guy firstly overbid my item, then sends me my payment immediately on winning but ith a rude note on my postage charges (though this as clearly shown in my listing.
And then on receipt of the goods (3 prepaid SIM ith £15 Credit) sends email in 1hr saying SIM is invalid. I offered refund(like u) provided he sends me back goods and can prove that the £15 credit is unused/SIM not registered at all.
Guy threatens me with trading standards, DTI distance selling rregulations.
But even after offering refund only on return of goods. never sent me the goods. I left neg feedback, he then threatens me libel.
ofcourse as a matter of principle i decided to take him on and read up legality, emailed ebay, paypal, "3", met police, etc.
Outcome thanks to my perseverance the idiot got cold feet and stopped emailing me.
I ud say beware of such ebayers ho are nasty from their first communication. they are out to fleece us good ebayers. offer refund only on returm of goods at their cost. these guys will anyay leave neg.
Best of luck hope this one leaves a pos fb to you:beer::beer::beer:0 -
Just so you are aware....impersonating a Trading Standards Officer is exactly the same offence as impersonating a Police Officer, and I do know of an Ebay seller who was prosecuted for exactly this offence in Scotland last year...so be very careful about how you word any response which claims to have their support.smam21 wrote:On this board we always advise people to pretend they have trading standards support if they otherwise have no hope,I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. yep! The eyelash curlers only cost me 25p to buy (they're very heavily reduced in a shop near to me) so i figured I'd refund her to get the woman off my back. If it was any of my oher items then I would have waited for her to return the item but right now I can't be doing with the stress! I've still not had feedback off her at all so I'll be keeping an eye out for it, maybe she's waiting for the 90th day!
in the meantime my feedback's up to 30 with 100% positives so soon it won't affect me too badly if she negs me anyway. I was worried before because my feedback was low and I knew it would look bad but I'm selling quite a lot at the moment so if she does neg me, it'll be covered up quickly. And I'l make a point of replying to it (via Taiwan ebay me thinks!) to get my side accross.
Thanks everyone for the advice! I was stressing out big time. I just hope i can return the favour to some of you sometime. Like I said before, i am an experienced seller, just a newbie with this new account. I think that's why this lady has been trying to have me over!0
