I would appreciate for advice please.
if an iphone is not yet registered and not yet used by inserting simcard what happens to the warranty.
does the warranty start from the start of using the phone by inserting the simcard.
thanks

Your warranty should start from the moment you bought it. However to me warranties are the most pointless things ever created and not needed as you're already totally covered by your statutory rights as a consumer so if there's a problem with it within 12 months you're already entitled to take it back regardless of the warranty status... Technically you're covered up to 2 years under EU and actually can claim up to 6 years under UK law ensuring that the goods should be of sound quality IE it's your expectation the goods last more than 3 months.
However speaking from experience when I got the first ever iphone I never activated the contract and therefore the warranty period wasn't activated as the phone was never registered via Apple... As far as you're concerned the moment you purchase the phone is when the warranty should kick in as that's when you have formed a contract to buy the phone...
Hope that all helps0 -
Type the serial number of any apple product into their checker and it will display the warranty info

The serial number will be printed on the box and will also be in the "about" menu0 -
thanks very much0

Funny (but good) thing with Apple is that they may sell you a refurbished one for a trade-in provided your one is in good nick. My friend had an out of warranty iPhone 4S with faulty, non-functioning wireless. Took it to Apple Store and they sold him one for £50.
Another time, a woman next to me tried to get her dead one repaired. They told her it was water damaged (she only revealed that she dropped it in the loo afterwards) but they sold her a replacement for £109.
I know of the 2 year EU warranty but I've yet to see a retailer honour it (unless the product is sold with 2 year warranty).0
