Hi all

currently I have a couple of savings accounts that all our savings go in to, out of this we pay our annual bills such as car insurance, car service, holiday etc.

However I think id be better off having multiple 'pots' so I can ensure I have the right amount saved whilst then moving savings to a longer term fixed deal with a better rate .

Therefore can you get an online bank/saving account that you can split in to multiple different headings?

I currently bank with Halifax and I cant see any provision for this on there online banking. Also this is just for a bank account not a current account if possible as im happy with my £5pm from halifax'

Thanks

This has cropped up very recently, but it might have been in the Savings & Investments sub forum. Try a forum search and I'm sure you'll come up with several possibilities.

Can't you just do this with a simple spreadsheet rather than having different pots in one bank account?
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

To add to this, if you do an advanced search for "pots" in title only in Pure Money you will find a selection of the many, many threads in which this has been previously discussed.

Intelligent Finance part of Bank of Scotland allowed you to save with separate jars for savings but they are not offering any new savings accounts at the moment.
