Long Charger Cable for ipad?

The USB charger cable that came with my ipad2 is so short, (I charge it via a plug and wall socket) that I am unable to use the ipad while it is charging as the cable is only about 1m and won't reach far enough.
Please can anyone advise where I can buy a longer USB charger cable, approx 2m or even 3m?
I know I could get one from Apple, but they are really expensive, however, I am reluctant to just take pot luck in case it turns out to be rubbish and ruins my ipad- if there's no other way, I will buy one from Apple, but does anyone know of a decent quality alternative please, preferably a branded one?
Doesn't have to be online, it can be a B&M shop.

You could always get hold of a cheap USB extension cable. That way, you use the same Apple cable, just have an extension on it.

I picked up a 3m lead off t'Bay for £3.25, seller was 'cablemaster'

Or just use a normal extension lead.

Yes indeed. straight from hong hong in less than a week too, your cable will have been. But I would go 6 metre, just for good measure :P
