No credit record at all

Hi,

Hopefully someone can give me some advice. My boyfriend recently applied for his first credit card and got rejected (he's 22) I figured it was because he doesn't have much credit history. We went on Noddle to try and get a look at his file but when registering it came up with a message saying they couldn't verify his ID. He should have some kind of record as he has a mobile phone contract.

I'm really confused, it's like they think he doesn't exist!

Has anyone else has this problem?

Thanks
Sarah

Saying he couldn't verify his ID makes it sound like you didn't answer the questions correctly at the beginning. This happened to OH, made a mistake with one of the questions asking about credit history to verify he was who he said he was.
Just logged in again and it was ok.

Perhaps try again, and if no success contact noddle customer service

He needs a credit card to register with Noddle, if he has no credit he can't register. Get the £2 reports off all 3 agencies.

He can register with his debit card though.

Depends if they've changed it, you had to register by credit card when I signed up, debit cards weren't accepted.

When I registered for their service in November 2012, I didn't have any credit card. I've used my Barclays debit card to verify my identity.
