Is it worth me going any further with this?

Hi all, just seeking opinions please.
Contacted Clydesdale to complain about ppi on an old Yorkshire Bank Credit Card. The basis for my claim was that I did never receive any explanation, ie, a certificate of insurance explaining everything. Clydesdale make reference to this, but cannot produce a copy.
The original application was made by filling in a form. This was one where you had to "de-select" PPI, ie, "only tick the box if cover is not required" It is visible on the FOS website that they are likely to conclude that ppi was mis-sold when this method was used.
My original complaint was turned down. I complained again, and this time included a screenshot from the FOS website. I have just received a letter stating they again are not upholding my complaint, will not respond again and telling me to go to the FOS should I wish.
I am just wondering if any others have had this situation when you have to de-select PPI, and had any success? I would have thought that as the FOS are likely to conclude that this was mi-sold, Clydesdale would accept this and uphold my claim.
Does anybody have any information as to whether the FOS have upheld complaints because of this?
Thanks

you have nothing to lose by carrying on with your claim, barring your time and a stamp.yorkshire bank turned my claim down, saying they have no paperwork, and it was inconclusive weather i had ppi on my mortgage, though it is not quite 6 years since the mortgage was paid off.im taking it to the fos.the halifax have gone back 11 years (2002) and made me an offer even though i have no paperwork,so why can the yorkshire not go back 6 years (2007) ? it seems with the yorkshire if you have not got the paperwork they dont want to know0

Thanks very much for your opinion. I simply feel that Clydesdale don't seem to care what is written on the FOS website, and probably hope I wont bother going any further. As you say, nothing to lose, I will send all I have to the FOS.0
