Help Wanted !! Renewal dated 22/06/07

Options
Hi gang.

Wondered if you could help me.:money:

I have a Tesco car insurance (5 years) and its now up for renewal. Just spoke to them on phone. Price has gone up and now will be paying £40.81 per month  (Cant really afford to pay off in one go). Details as follows:-

Premium with 5 years (maximum) No Claims bonus - 333.90
Motor Legal Protection - £22.05
Tesco Breakdown assistance - £89.25.

I got rid of the courtesy car premium.

Does anyone know of a cheaper insurance I can get please?

Thanks for your help:beer:

I'm not sure anyone here could help you with the details you've provided.

Your insurance quote depends on your age, motoring history, car and where you live - none of which you've provided, nor should you on an open forum!

try putting all your details into confused or the other insurance comparison website...sorry can't remember the name right now.

  • Miss p try prudential insurance through quidco. I got £100 cashback and the quote was already cheaper than my renewal from Budget (which was the cheapest i could find last year.

I'd say call as may 0800 numbers as your patience will allow you. I do it every year for 2 cars and a bike and never pay more at renewal than we did the previous year.

I'd also cancel the Legal Protection and have you tried anyone else for Breakdown Cover? We are with GreenFlag. Haven't had to use them yet so can't comment on service but its worth a look?
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Hi Miss P, whatever else you try give Marks and Spencer insurance a go. It is administered by Budget but tends to be much cheaper.Prices generally seem to have increased this year but managed to get Comprehensive cover with Protected No Claims,Full Breakdown cover,Keycare,Legal Protection,Courtesy Car and 14 day Car Hire for £310.For the same benefits More Than quoted £620.It might just include a large introductory discount but what the heck, if it does I'll go elsewhere next year. Another one to try is ecar insurance, its totally online insurance and includes Breakdown as standard but is not a well known company so read small print before signing up. Good Luck.
