What is it that you dont like about the dress?
to be honest you're trying it on when its not pressed and you've not got your hair and makeup on....or probably your wedding underwear and that can make a huge difference....and when youre with your bridesmaids and indeed your husband on your wedding day you and your photos and the dress will look wonderful.
I would stick with the dress...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I think it looks gorgeous on you it's right for your skin tone and everything0

I think its the hip thing, I love the back and the top but from the front am concerned it looks big.
I think I need to be more confident in front of the camera too, attitude comes across a lot. Drunk photos of me always look nicer because I am relaxed and not self conscious. Its still being altered a bit so next time I go am going to try and relax and enjoy a bit more,Recently married and loving it x0 -
Lovely, just absolutely lovely and that integrated train makes it look even more fabulous, my daughter had a very similar dress in burgundy with diamantes over the breast and then some dotted all over the dress and train. Fabulousmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I've had another look at the photos, and honestly theres nothing wrong with your hips!!!!
You've been very brave and a littlr critical of yourself in posting photos in your dress before the day...I remember my mum taking pics of me at my final dress fitting and actually looking back at those pics now they really didnt do the dress justice.
Im sure if everyone posted a before wedding and wedding pic here for all to comment on most would come to the conclusion that the wedding day pic is better...probably almost without exception.
Dont forget as well that you may well be carrying some flowers which if you do feel self concious about your hips, they will help to disguise it...
Its also really interesting that you say photos of you drunk when you have a bit more self confidence always look better...believe me on your wedding day you will feel a mixture of emotions but with your husband by your side you will shine in the photos and no one will mention the hips or anything else youre wobbling about... I guarantee!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

You look gorgeous in it. And you FEEL gorgeous when you wear it.
The most important thing to remember is that it looks so different to your normal everyday clothing - unless you go for elegant champagne with train numbers for work every Monday?!
I felt the same when I wore mine - ivory silk tafetta, strapless, silk tulle layers underneath. Bl00dy gorgeous but soooo very different to my usual trousers / jeans / leggings!0 -

Aw thank you, I know you are right, and I do really love the dress. I am going to try and relax when photos are taken between now and then, if I get a few nice photos I will feel more relaxed.
Don't want to gush too much but I really appreciate the time people have taken to reply to this. It has made me feel much more confident. The forum in general has been so much of a support in the planning, great for ideas and to know that I am not alone!!!
I am going to edit my post and take the photos down later (paranoia about my other half seeing them)
After the day I promise to flash some photos, for those of you in the process of wedding planning, I hope all is going well and you have managing to enjoy it. I am focusing on the end goal, fab husband and exciting honeymoon!Recently married and loving it x0 -
Ditto! Even how you will hold yourself on the day with your hair and makeup all done! You'll be standing tall and feeling great!
When looking at peoples dress choices, I don't look at whether the dress is my personal style but more has the bride went for something that suits and flatters her and not just what she wanted to look like in her head! Which is also her choice...it's her dress!
And I think that dress and wee jacket is VERY flattering, suits your skin tone and hair colour! I think it's gorgeous on you! Nothing to worry about AT ALL!
I'm about 7 months away and everytime I see a bride on Facebook I want to change my dress! I just remember that they don't suit me or that I didn't feel comfortable in them and that I chose my dress for a reason! Easier said than done!!!xxx

Sounds to me like you like it but are afraid you could have done better.
Don't let that worry you. It is normal. And so is being stressed out by organising a wedding.
Most brides glow so much on their wedding day they would look good in a sack.
You will do thesame and look lovely no matter what you decide.
And you will enjoy the day because it sounds as thought you are marrying the man of your dreams. :T0
