You have 10 weeks which is ample time to find another dress, some people plan a wedding in less. Maybe not for one to order but find a shop with off the peg dresses.

I don't like the dress but mainly down to the colour, which is I'm guessing what you picked it for, so as long as you feel ok, then it doesn't matter what others say.

I am very laid back though and I wouldn't mind, but appreciate not everyone is like that.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

The dress is beautiful and looks incredible on!!!! It is very flattering and elegant - I think most people have this wobble don't they? I think it's stunning but it's what you feel that matters x

It's not my taste, because it is strapless, but it is a beautiful dress. Simple and elegant and a lovely colour. And you look gorgeous in it - what a figure!!!

I think it is normal to have wobbles and worries, but it you love the dress and feel comfortable in it then you'll be just fine.

Congratulations and enjoy your wedding day.x

I think it's lovely and you look great. TBH I think you may be 'wobbling' anyway and just make sure you have your hair and make up just how you like it so you feel great.

  • I think the dress is lovely, and I think it suits you beautifully. I do feel that it is important to feel comfortable so if you are really unhappy in your dress maybe go and have a browse about and see if you can find something you are happier in. You may find that you can't find anything that lovely, I must admit I think you look fabulous.
  • I think it's a lovely dress and really suits your shape. The waist on it is particularly gorgeous and I like that it's got a very classic look. But to be honest what I think doesn't matter - what matters is that you like it and feel comfortable in it.

Have you tried it with your make-up, hair, shoes, underwear etc as they will be on the day? It might be that once the whole 'look' is put together you feel more certain about it - often it can be quite hard to visualise something out of context compared to when it's all put together. And if you do change your mind then there's certainly plenty of time to find something else off the rail on the high street...

It matters not one bit what the rest of us think....and people can reassure you until the cows come home that it looks nice but if you don't feel good in it, it will show on the day.

I speak as someone who bought a dress in a sample sale, realised I'd jumped the gun and bought another dress. Difference for me was that I had longer and already knew the dress I REALLY wanted and I was lucky enough to find a pre loved one on Ebay.

I think the dress looks 'fine' for want of a better word. The ruching makes your waist look slender but I don't think the bust line is doing anything to balance you out at the top. I personally couldn't have a straight bust line, made me look way too broad and my dress had a simple sweetheart neckline to it.

Why not see if a local shop has any samples they are selling cheap? Trying on other dresses is the only way to know for sure, you will either find one that knocks socks off yours or you will walk away thinking the dress you have is miles better and then it's problem solved. :)

I feel for you, it's hard and it's something you desperately want to get right. My mum bought my first dress and I was petrified of telling her I had changed my mind but fortunately she understood.

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I think it's lovely on you. I really like the colour, and the fit if perfect.

I agree with others that dresses look very different in your living room with hair down and bare feet, to when you're done up, hair styled, shoes on, bouquet in hand, and standing next to your smartly dressed wedding party! Perhaps the wobble is just down to that?

If you genuinely feel that it's not the dress for you, you do have time to change it. If the men on DTTB can do it in 3 weeks, you can too ;) I bought my dress off the peg and loved it, so don't lose sleep.

    Have a marvellous wedding xxx

I just want to say a really big thank you to everyone who has replied, I posted it just before down time and forgot to get it to send emails when people reply.

I have loved it every time I put it on its just when I look at the photos I wobble. I have previously make poor judgements with clothes etc as I don't really have a clue!

I might look around at others, am wary as really want the champagne colour, have designed my flowers, decorations etc around this.

I don't think I am any clearer on what to do lol I'm not any good as this wedding lark !!!
Recently married and loving it x
