Hi All,
I have found house we like and have put an offer and they have accepted it. We have been twice to view the house. I had some concerns about the windows for the entire house. and few other issues in the walls. I dont know any builder to come out and check it for me.
The other question if the building survey suggested work can for x amount of money can the price for house be dropped or the seller might not agree and cancel my offer.
Thanks very much for your help.

If you think you may have to replace the windows, then build that into your financial plan. Perhapsthe price asked/agreed takes account of the poor quality windows? If not, reduce the amount of your offer by whatever new windows will cost. The seller might disagree, however. After all, he's lived there happily with those windows!
Same with any other defects the survey finds.0 -
