in Credit cards
Hi I was wandering if anyone can help i am a little stuck here i have had a capital one credit building credit card since 2009 i started with a £100 limit and built it up to £2800, i have had a change in circumstance and have ended up with a default were the agreement has been terminated i do not want it to affect me any further and do not know what to do the reason i have had the issue and the debt has gone to £3500 now also i would like to add note i had a dispute which i do not think they settled of £2000 and i think they have charged me and also another dispute of £700 for a product purchase, what i really need to know is if anyone can advise me on what to do and to sort this out my financial situation is not the best at the moment but i have always been upfront payments on time and full amount, i do not know what to do??? and do not want to damage my now clear credit history?

First of all, learn to use punctuation, sentences and paragraphs. Its more or less impossible to read the above.
It seems to suggest you have a 3,500 outstanding balance of which 2,700 is in connection with some form of dispute. What are these 2 disputes about? What happened? What has the banks response been so far?
If you've already had a default then the time to save your credit history is already gone. Obviously allowing it to go further and become a CCJ will make it worse but you wont have a clear history now.0 -

First of all learn to use manners ! People come here for advice - not a lesson in how to write and spell. You could learn to live by your own statement too.
You clearly had a grasp of what was going on - to the point where you have offered questions to clarify. It might have been a more welcoming introduction for you to say that you had difficulty in working through the post. Nasty for nasty sake, a beautiful world we live in.0 -

Nothing wrong with the manners. The OP has made a post in a style which many people would find hard to read or understand, thus they might not get as many responses as they could.
I think pointing this out is for the best.0 -

Really...? Is that aimed at me or what should have been the first response (it's like me saying my dad is bigger than your dad and you responding with my dad is bigger than yours)..... grow up.Nothing wrong with the manners. The OP has made a post in a style which many

I think pointing this out is for the best.
And there is a way of making a point and another which is spiteful in nature.
The response received a comment, one which contained perfectly justified questions, my point being that if someone is going to the effort in offering a helpful response, why any need to make a 'point it out' statement in such a way. What happened to basic courtesy....?0 -
Please do not argue. The OP needs help, not a lesson in grammar and punctuation.
What is claimed to be owed?
How much do you think is in dispute?
What amount does Capital One is in Dispute?
Have you requested a DPASAR from the Data Controller at Capital One?
Have you written to Capital One Letter Head ACCOUNT IN DISPUT|E, outlining your reasons for the account to be placed in dispute?
The DPASAR will show you what they are charging. You must include £10.00 to pay for this and in the covering letter state that this is not to be credited against the account.
Oh DPASAR - Data Protection Act Subject Access Request.
Sadly the damage has been done regarding your file. At a later stage of this dispute a note can be placed on your credit file regarding the disputed amount, First things first, though.
Please don't let the previous posts put you off.
Deep breath and a plan of action to be formulated. Keep everything in writing from now on, while dealing with Capital One..
One other thing, when you write the letter regarding the account being in Dispute, request that they remove all your telephone contact numbers and your email address from their records. Also re-iterate this to the Data Controller. They MUST remove these numbers of their records.
Stress that you will only deal with them from now in by letter. This is your right.
The sooner you get to work on the DPASAR request and the Account in Dispute letter, the sooner you take back control.
You must send the letters by recorded delivery so you have proof that they have been received by Capital One.0 -
TLDR.
Plenty of people in the past have been called upon to rewrite their posts because it was to hard to read, nothing wrong in that; it helps ensure a better response to their questions.
However, unless the OP can furnish us with the missing info, it's hard to answer regardless of the punctuation issues.0
