Question about cheese sauce.....

Options
Hi all

Doing lasagna for tea, all home made apart from the cheese sauce. Mainly because i was convinced I had a jar in the cupboard. However, it turns out its actually Dolmio Pasta Bake, sauce for macaroni cheese. Side of the jar says "macaroni cheese sauce for pasta bake"

So basically mu question is, can i use this for the lasagna? Or do i need to run to the shops for a jar of lasagna cheese sauce?

Not making macaroni instead because i have already done the mince and the sauce. Well, its simmering right now so its nearly done :o

Thanks in advance! :D

Cheese sauce the easy way -

I make it in the microwave...spoonful of cornflour well mixed into milk, knob of butter, zap for 2 mins, stir, zap and continue until thicker. Add salt and pepper, grated cheese, stir well and there it is!

(I use this cheese sauce for lasagne, cauliflower and broccoli cheese; virtually same method without the cheese for fish pie. I poach the fish in the milk, with a few pepporcorns and a couple of bayleaves when making fish pie)

You're welcome - in fact if you were doing a pasta in cheese sauce by the time you've boiled the pasta the sauce is made. The ultimate 'fast food'!
